Ciudad Del Este is the fourth-largest duty-free city in the world and shares a common border with Brazil. A large number of tourists from Brazil and other countries are coming here for sightseeing and procurement. Daily traffic can be up to 50-80 thousand people.

Ciudad Del Este is the second largest city of Paraguay, the capital of Alto Parana, and is located in the Parana River, near the Itaipu Dam. It is a triangular region between Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina, and is known as the triple border.  It is home to the Friendship Bridge that connects the city of Iguazu (Brazil) to Ciudad Del Este (Paraguay).
